We are looking for a high-performing Sales Director to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, and coordinate sales activities with sales managers, sales representatives, including development of sales strategies and communication throughout all divisions

Responsibilities:

  • Build and grow a sales team dedicated to new sales
  • Maintain leadership, training and development of our sales effort, including management of sales representatives
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales teams
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company‚Äôs customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Lead recruiting efforts, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Drive a strong customer service mentality fostering new relationships with perspective clients
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the senior management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal staff (Purchasing, Customer Service, Warehousing, Accounting and Sales staff) to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of professional experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a proven track record selling in competitive markets, previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Success contacting and making presentation to key people within customer organizations from purchasing managers, general managers, presidents and owners
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Must possess executive level communication skills; including the ability to sell the concept of improving operating efficiencies while demonstrating value added benefits to executive management
  • Must possess strong planning, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter with strong leadership skills and a creative initiator with the ability to motivate
  • Must be team orientated with excellent customer service and selling skills
  • Proficient PC skills required, including Microsoft Office
