Colossus Security Inc Background Information:
Security has changed, it is no longer just wearing hardhats, and getting dirty in factories pulling cable. Today a Security Technician is also highly skilled in computer software platforms, networks, and low voltage electrical equipment, generally in office buildings, retail spaces, and new construction. You will be installing & servicing, and trained as necessary to support the installation of security hardware and solutions to protect our client’s employees and assets.

Compensation is dependent on skill level, certifications and overall professionalism and efficiency with the ability to grow with you. In addition, we provide Vacation, Benefits, Sick Days, Flexible Hours, Training and overtime if required.
We serve our clients across North America; however, this role is based out of our Mississauga head office location and typically will be contained to an average of 100km from our office. Travel may be requested from time to time and should not exceed 10% in most cases.
Responsibilities:
- Install Access Control, CCTV, BA, Intercoms and other integrated devices
- Terminate and commission systems per company standards
- Constantly meet strict timelines and ensure jobs are completed on time
- Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair company supported systems
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings
- Liaison with PM’s, Account Managers, GC, and Clients
- Ability to offer phone support to other company technicians
- Ensure compliance to all company standards, including, installation, health & safety, driving, etc.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with enterprise clients and system solutions
- Working Knowledge of either Genetec, LenelS2, Avigilon, Alarm.com, ProWatch Access Control Systems, and
- Working knowledge of Genetec, Avigilon, OpenEye, MaxPro VMS’s or similar, OR
- ULC Fire Panel Installation/Inspection experience and BA installations (using BOSCH, DSC)
- Solid understanding of IP networks and networking
- Familiarity installing and troubleshooting electrified door hardware, and/or ADO’s
- Knowledge of other ACS, VMS, CCTV, BA platforms is a plus
- Excellent verbal skills in English
- Takes initiative, works independently or as part of a team
Candidate’s must have a clean driving record and provide an abstract. Company vehicle, fuel card, company branded shirts & jacket, laptop, and cell phone will be provided, as well as any required major tools and yearly allowance for PPE. Standard work hours are 8am-5pm M-F as well as a rotational On-Call requirement.
